Class Levels & Age Groups
At Nihao School, we provide age-appropriate classes to nurture language development, cultural awareness, and foundational skills from the very start. Our small class sizes and immersive approach ensure each child receives personalized attention and a dynamic learning experience.
Infants
(Ages 3-18 Months)
Our infant program introduces Mandarin through gentle exposure to songs, rhymes, and sensory activities. This early introduction promotes language recognition and a natural foundation for bilingual learning.
Toddlers
(Ages 18 Mo. - 2.5 Yrs.)
For toddlers, we build on early exposure with interactive songs, simple stories, and engaging play-based activities. This class encourages early language sounds, social interaction, and motor skills development to spark curiosity.
Preschool
(Ages 2.5 - 4 Years)
Our preschool program focuses on developing basic Mandarin vocabulary, simple phrases, and cultural understanding. Through storytelling, arts and crafts, and role-play, children gain confidence in using Mandarin in a supportive and playful environment.
-
Teacher-Student Ratio: We maintain a low teacher-student ratio to ensure personalized attention and an enriching learning environment for each child.

-
Progress Tracking: Teachers provide regular feedback and progress reports, allowing parents to stay engaged in their child’s language and developmental milestones.
Why Bilingual Education Matters
Bilingual education opens doors to a world of opportunities. Studies show that children who learn a second language early in life benefit from enhanced cognitive development, improved problem-solving skills, and a greater ability to adapt in diverse environments. At Nihao School, our immersive Mandarin program goes beyond language acquisition—it helps children build cultural empathy, resilience, and confidence. By fostering a bilingual foundation, we prepare young learners not only to communicate effectively in multiple languages but to thrive as global citizens in a multicultural world.
