1. How many children are in the class and what is the age range?
Each class has from eight to sixteen children enrolled. Our language class embrace a mix-age philosophy. We believe that young children learn best in a mixed age setting so we invite children to attend our mixed age classes.
2. Why aren’t there separate classes for different age groups?
Classes with children of different ages have intellectual and social benefits for both younger and older children. In fact, it’s the learning environment recommended by many early childhood researchers. Older children learn empathy and awareness of others while developing leadership qualities and gaining self-confidence. Younger children learn by imitating the older ones and often show more complex behaviors earlier than usual. Even babies benefit from being in an environment that gives them lots of opportunities to observe the behaviors of children of varying ages.
3. Are there any pre-requisites?

4. Why didn’t my child participate in class?
Children’s responses depend on their most dominant learning style and temperament as well as their age and developmental level. Some might follow the teacher right away. Others observe and listen. Some might respond more actively. All are perfectly natural responses to the new, language-rich environment. Throughout the semester, your teacher will help you tune in to how your child learns best so you can support their language development in class and at home. Feel free to ask if you have questions!
5. What happens after we complete a semester?
Language is a continuing learning process. We might use the same book with a new song collection each semester, and rotate every 2 semesters, so when you re-register you can look forward to reinforcing the previous semester’s topics while expanding on new topics. Because your child will be at a different stage developmentally, an activity will be exciting to him or her, whether it is because of its familiarity or because he or she can grasp it in a new way.
6. What happens if my child is sick or unable to attend class?
If your child is sick 24 hours before your scheduled class- PLEASE STAY HOME. If a make-up class is available for the site you signed up for, you may schedule a make-up class for the class you missed.
7. I already have the book of this session, do I need to pay the lab fee?
All of our classes require a lab fee. This fee is a non-negotiable fee and is required before the first day of class; whether you take the materials or not. Your registration is considered incomplete until the lab fee is paid.
8. What is your class withdrawal or refund policy?
A refund will ONLY be given if a class or activity is cancelled. Refunds take two weeks to process and will be mailed to you. If a student withdraws from class no later than ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE CLASS BEGINNING he or she may receive a full refund, less a $12 administrative fee. No refund will be issued after the class begins.
