Our Approach
At Nihao School, we believe early childhood is not preparation for the future — it is the foundation of lifelong learning.
Through play-based Mandarin immersion, meaningful daily routines, and strong family partnership, children develop language fluency, independence, emotional resilience, and cultural awareness during the years that matter most.
We do not rush academics.
We cultivate confidence, curiosity, and connection — so children grow steadily, securely, and joyfully.
Our Foundation
01
Language Through Relationship
Children develop language fluency through relationship. We immerse children in Mandarin through daily routines — songs, stories, play, and meaningful interaction — so language feels natural, joyful, and lived.
02
Independence with Support
Confidence grows when children are trusted to try. From self-care routines to collaborative play, we guide children toward independence while providing the emotional safety and structure they need to thrive.
03
Culture with Heart
Language carries history, tradition, and identity. We celebrate cultural traditions and global awareness in ways that help children feel connected, curious, and proud of who they are.
04
Partnership with Families
Growth doesn’t happen in isolation. We partner closely with families through communication and shared goals — aligning daily life with long-term confidence and academic readiness.
Who Thrives at Nihao School
Children thrive at Nihao School when families value:
• relationship-based learning
• language through immersion and daily life
• independence and responsibility
• mixed-age community
• calm, intentional routines
Nihao is designed for families who believe early childhood should nurture confidence, curiosity, cultural awareness, and lifelong learning.
Our Story
Founded in 2008, Nihao School was built on a simple belief: children learn language best through meaningful relationships and daily life.
Over the years, this approach evolved into the philosophy now known as i-Immersion — a model that integrates language, culture, family partnership, and whole-child development.
Nihao School continues to serve as the living learning environment where these ideas are practiced, refined, and shared with families and educators.
Today our flagship campus brings together years of experience in early education, language immersion, and thoughtful program design.
A Day At Nihao
01
Designed with Intention
From arrival to goodbye, each moment has purpose. Mandarin lives in songs, stories, play, and daily routines. Transitions are calm. Expectations are clear.Children feel secure — and free to explore.
02
Language In Motion
Language lives in movement, music, and shared laughter. Children absorb Mandarin through relationship and repetition. It feels natural — never forced. It becomes part of who they are.
03
Growing Across Ages
Younger children observe and imitate. Older children guide and model. Leadership grows through everyday interaction.Learning happens in relationship.
04
Life Skills in Real Time
Children pour, set, clean, and care for their space.Independence is practiced daily. Small responsibilities build lasting confidence. Growth happens in real moments.
05
Rest and Emotional Regulation
Growth requires balance. Quiet moments support regulation and focus. Children learn to listen to their bodies. Calm is practiced — not demanded.
06
Closing the Loop with Families
We document growth and share meaningful updates. School and home stay aligned. Partnership strengthens progress. Your child’s journey is seen and supported.
The Educators Behind Nihao
Nihao School is guided by a dedicated team of educators who share a commitment to thoughtful early childhood development. Founder and Director Alice Ding leads the vision and educational philosophy of the program, shaping a learning environment where language, culture, and strong relationships support each child’s growth.
Daily campus leadership is supported by Campus Supervisor Cora Chen and a team of experienced classroom educators including Ms. Helen, Ms. Jania, and Ms. Yingying. Together, they create a consistent, nurturing environment where children build confidence through relationship-based learning, practical life experiences, and natural multilingual exposure.
